Steve Berch has lived and worked in West Boise’s District 15 for 35 years. He and his wife Leslie have been married for 33 years. Their daughter Katie recently graduated from Centennial High School and attends Boise State University.
In May of 2013, Steve was elected to the Board of Directors of the Greater Boise Auditorium District. He successfully worked with a diverse Board to launch an expansion of the Boise Convention Center – the District’s first major undertaking in 25 years. This investment will generate millions of dollars in annual economic growth and new jobs –without raising taxes.
Steve’s community involvement started in the 1990’s when he was Vice-President of the West Valley Neighborhood Association, which includes most of District 15. He led the effort that successfully protected West Boise property values and neighborhood safety from unwanted and unnecessary roads.
Steve held many leadership positions during his 30+ year association with Hewlett Packard here in Boise. He was the strategic business planner for multiple divisions, managed a multi-million dollar global business, and launched new marketing initiatives. Steve now owns a consulting company that advises local small businesses on marketing and process improvement. He also works under contract for larger companies.
Steve has a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Albany and an MBA in Information Systems from the University of Minnesota.
Steve has been leading in West Boise for over 20 years. His leadership positions within the community include:
